The AC-2100 is a practical and affordable fingerprint authentication reader with Virdi’s patented fake fingerprint detection technology. That means every company can afford a Virdi-grade security. Besides being great for access control, the AC-2100 can also be integrated with Virdi’s software such as UNIS for tracking employee time attendance.

IPX-3 certified.

Being IPX-3 certified means that the Virdi device is protected against spraying water. Tested with water spraying up to 60 degrees from vertical at 10 litres/min at a pressure of 80–100 kN/m2 for 5 min. The AC-2100 is well-able to withstand rain and water splashes, and is suitable for outdoor use such as in construction work sites, swimming pools and unsheltered lobbies.

Security is only as good as the intelligence of the sensor. Virdi’s patented optical sensor and algorithm detect fake fingerprints reproduced on paper, film, silicone and rubber. It will be futile to try to fool the Virdi fingerprint scanner.

Besides authenticating fingerprints, the Virdi AC-2100 fingerprint scanner comes with a built-in card reader that supports smart cards and RFID cards. Companies that use staff card access control can now easily add fingerprint authentication to further bolster the security of their premises.
